Volentia is an all-veg*an Facebook, if you will. There are profiles and apps. However there are also open discussions, so it's more like a Facebook group that sprouted off into its own website. Yom Kippur has officially begun here in Ohio and for us veg*ans, the repentance of sins related to what we have eaten and drunk carries special meaning. For the first time since my bat mitzvah I used a tallis and kippah from the loaner basket because my personal set that were given to me eleven years ago were 100% wool. After last yom kippur, I gave them to my mother, who is not a vegan and has never had her own tallis or kippah. 

Three words for you: Vegan. Ice Cream.

As any vain vegan can tell you, makeup that is vegan, cruelty-free AND high quality is (to say the least) a challenge. And trying to match all that with the affordability of big box brands, especially in lipstick and foundation which tends to double or even triple in price with the cruelty-free labels, is a variable that just serves to increase frustration.
