"Becoming Vegan" is a monthly discussion group about vegan topics. In
particular, we will discuss issues about active veganism that most
conversations don't address. Some of these include feminism, racism,
speciesism, mind/body problem, etymology, activism, identity, and
leadership. Being a "vegan" is not required, nor particularly encouraged;
instead, the group will discuss what veganism is about and how to
effectively promote it (which may not be interesting to non-vegans, but
