Vegan Wedding Cake Infos!

vegan wedding cake on white stand. You might already know how much I love Pattycake Vegan Bakery. Well now I love Jenn (owner/bakery goddess) even more! I talked to her a bit about having her do my wedding cake, and here are the following relevant infos:

  • She told me I can save a lot of money by having graduated cakes on a stand (she has 2 varieties, standard and staggered) instead of an acual tiered cake, and that she rents the stands out really cheap. (accurate pricing as quoted to me is on the Pattycake Vegan Bakery page.)
  • She tentatively quoted me the price of about $200-$300 for 100 people worth of fairly simple chocolate cake.
  • She doesn't do fondant (although she plans to develop a method to do it within the next year, but I don't know or care what fondant actually is, so it's all the same to me)
  • She grows edible flowers organically out back of the bakery, and she can add them to the cake as decoration for a very reasonable price.

Wow - that cake looks

Wow - that cake looks absolutely magical!

My friend Charlie of www.Charliesrawtreats.co.uk made me some special raw vegan brownies, lemon cheesecake and figgy pockets for our vegan dessert. Absolutely gorgeous. She's based in the UK, but there are so many people doing into that business now and could be commissioned. Another good one is https://earthcafetogo.com/onlinestore/

The cutest one I've seen is a heart-shaped raw vegan chocolate cake covered in strawberries - very romantic, and apparently everyone loved it. http://www.rawbride.com/2010/02/emma-macdougall-bride-of-the-month.html
