Comfrey Corner has all the weird, important vegan stuff most mega groceries don't carry: arrowroot powder, nutritional yeast flakes, etc (call to check availability). 

Simply Living has a little corner of the Clintonville Community Market, right in front by the door. It's a cozy little corner with a chair and several shelves of books ranging from vegan cookbooks to punky DIY how-to craft and gardening books, to new-agey stuff, to environmental books to magazines.
