If you're exasperated with the damn FDA food pyramid you learned in school, you're not alone. If you're on Facebook, you might want to become a fan of the vegan food pyramid page.

I had the best cupcake of my life at this place, and it's all 100% vegan. In their own words:
The Columbus Vegan Meetup is something I stumbled upon recently that looks pretty cool. From what I can tell, they are a bunch of Columbus vegans who get together about once a month to do vegan-related stuff. From the looks of it, it's more like cooking class type stuff than vandalizing fur stores type stuff. Membership is open. Join via their website.
Located on King St. near the OSU medical center, Dragonfly is a trendy, classy place to have a vegan hot date. I have eaten there exactly once, and it was kind of a long time ago, but I still occasionally dream about it. The dinner I had there was wonderful but also way expensive (at least by my starving-student standards). My date was kind of intimidated by the Giant Mushroom he unwittingly ordered, but seriously who wants to date a guy who is intimidated by a food anyway? So if you're loaded, vegan, and fearless I def. recommend eating at Dragonfly.
