A fellow vegan has informed me that this place is quite vegan-friendly. It's casual fine dining in the Short North, with a variety of dishes, from the vaguely Mediterranean to the pan-Asian.
Menu, hours, etc. available from the Basil website.
Kafé Kerouac is a great little coffee shop that also serves alcohol. There are wraps in the fridge, including specifically labelled vegan and vegetarian ones. They carry Patty Cake cookies as well as a small selection of good bagels. Drinks can be made with soymilk.
Café Bella is a great little restaurant on North High street.
They have no menu, just daily specials of Mediterranean and Italian foods that include lots of fresh veggies and herbs, some of which they grow out back.
Carabar is a cozy little music venue/bar on north Parson's Ave. We've heard that they recently expanded their vegan options, but we don't know what those vegan options are. We also can't find their website, if they have one. If you know, please tell us!
On The Fly is the little sister of Dragonfly Neo-V and lives right next door. On The Fly is a little cafe open for breakfast and lunch, while Dragonfly serves only dinner. On The Fly also serves beer and wine. Not all foods and drinks are vegan or even vegetarian, despite claims to the contrary, so watch out.
